Meditation has developed over thousands of years of human history. Originally, meditation was aimed at helping us understand our lives, ourselves, and the world around us and had spiritual and sacred aspects. These days, meditation is often used by people for relaxation and stress reduction. Daily practice of meditation will give you a sense of peace and balance that will bring benefit to both your emotional well-being and your physical health.

These benefits of meditation won't end when your meditation session ends; they will reflect in your whole day and life. Daily meditation practices will help you to find a better version of yourself and bring calmness through your day.

Benefits of Meditation

During the thinking process, we are consuming our energy. When the mind is in resting mode, you automatically switch to charging and rejuvenating mode. Similar to sleeping. The mind is still, and your body is resting and rejuvenating itself. The initial purpose of meditation is to be able to stop your mind and reach a neutral state where you are comfortable and relaxed. Once you are able to still your mind, you can stay in this calm and rejuvenating place to balance and empower yourself.

If you wish, you can also continue to go deeper to explore your inner world and heal yourself on a much deeper level and increase your awareness. Depending on your need, you can either choose to rejuvenate and balance yourself to increase your life quality or to dive deep within yourself to find the meaning of your existence. You are always in control and can tailor your meditation according to your needs.

Why should I learn meditation?

As human beings, we are receiving information from the external world, processing it internally, and expressing our inner world. Each and every action, emotion, and thought/idea is a reflection of our inner world. We are very familiar with the external world as our attention is turned outwards. However, we are not so familiar with our inner world. Therefore, sometimes our emotions, reactions, and uncontrollable ideas surprise us. We create our external life from the output of our internal world. Such as desires, preferences, ideas, wants/not wants, etc. However, as we are not familiar with, nor in control of, our internal world, we end up making decisions or attracting people and events that harm us. We find that we can not control our emotions, minds, and actions sometimes.

In order to be in total control of your external world/life, you need to know and control your inner world.

How Meditation can give you a quieter mind

Through meditation, you learn to turn your attention from outwards toward inward. Your biggest obstacle in this process is your mind. Your mind has been actively working and trying to find solutions to life issues and turning your attention outwards. This never-ending process creates mental exhaustion and unclarity. When you overcome the urge of constant thinking you take the first step toward your inner world where you can find a still mind and calmness. From this state of calmness you first start relaxing and charging yourself and then you can discover your real self, your potential, and the direction you should be heading in your life. Still, the mind will bring you mindfulness and deeper awareness.

Stopping the mind is not a difficult process and can be done by anybody. With Still Mind Meditation, you will learn how easy it is to stop your mind and find inner calm.
